An issue that matters to me is [youth] leadership. As I observed the leadership pursuits of my peers, I saw how easily good intentioned-leaders became corrupted leaders, and how charismatic leaders became narcissistic. Some leaders that I admire in history are Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela who not only voiced the many injustices against people of African descent, but who also called for equality for all. I am very much concerned about the issue of children and youth. It is my desire and interest to see that I fight social vices like child abuse, illiteracy among young girls and boys and ensure that they are shaped into good citizens. This is part of my agenda also as a teacher. ( read more)
